Coach Stephenson is the Vice President of Coaching and the Coaching Coordinator for the club. He enters this Club Volleyball Season with 20+ years as a Varsity High School Head Coach and 20+ seasons as Head Coach of National teams at WVC ranging in age groups from 13U to 18U.  In those years Coach Stephenson has been District/Conference Coach of the Year 8 times, Regional Coach of the Year 7 times, led his team to 9 District Championships, 5 Regional Champions and 7 District/Conference Tournament Champions. Coach Stephenson has taken his teams into regional post season play for 14 consecutive years, to state tournament post season play for 10 years, and has taken Jamestown High School to the State 4A Semifinals/Finals the last 5 consecutive years. Further his teams have finished as state semifinalist 4 times, and state runner-up 3 times. In his tenure, Tom Stephenson has had 8 players named Virginia Gazette Player of the Year, 4 Players named as the Daily Press Player of the Year, 5 Players named as District or Conference Player of the Year, 5 Players named as Regional Player of the Year. Tom has had 10 players selected to the VHSCA All-Star team, 13 players have been named 1st Team All-State, 24 players have been named 1st Team All-Region and 36 players have been named 1st Team All-District/Conference.  Tom has coached more than 40 players that have gone on to play at the college level. Additionally, Tom has coached 3 VHSCA All-Star games as the lead coach and led  teams to victory twice. Tom has coached two boys teams and two girls teams at WVC to USAV Nationals and has had 3 teams ranked nationally. Coach Stephenson reached 336 Career wins this past season placing him in the top 10 of the VHSL for career wins.

In other words, Tom knows volleyball!  Our coaching cadre and our club are honored to be led by Coach Stephenson and we are excited to have him Coaching our 13 American team.  Coach Stephenson holds the following certifications:
