If I make a team, what are the costs?

The team fees are determined by how many and which tournaments your coach chooses for the team to attend.

All team fees Includes: Tryouts, Practices, Coaches Salaries and Expenses for Practices and All Tournaments, Equipment (Volleyballs, Courts, Nets, Practice Equipment, etc.), Overhead Costs (Administration, Websites, Insurance, Accounting), for National teams, etc.

Additional Player costs include:

  • Uniforms (See 2nd Chart Below for estimates)
  • USAV Membership ($50 annually through ODR)
  • AAU Membership $16 (annual)
  • Individual Player's Travel Expenses
  • Possible Extra Tournaments & Other Optional Team Expenses.
  • Some teams may choose to do fundraisers during the season to help offset the costs.

The chart below is an estimate of what the annual individual fees could be for the season per player.

*Annual fees vary based on the tournament schedule and number of players per team therefore we’ve given a range of the fee as a guideline.

Are the uniform included in the annual fees?

At this time, uniforms are not included in the annual fee as they are purchased separately per family.

I need work on my skills, can you help?

We run specialty clinics throughout the travel season as needed.

How far do you travel and when?

American teams play in tournaments usually within a 75 mile radius.

National teams travel farther which can include Georgia, Pennsylvania, DC, Maryland, North Carolina, Kentucky, Florida, etc.

Tournaments are held on Saturdays and/or Sundays (and sometimes Fridays or Mondays of a holiday weekend for 3-day tournaments).  AAU National Championships (attended by our National teams) is a 4-5 day tournament in late June after school’s out.

How do I stay informed on updates regarding WVC and/or my team?

Create an account with Sport Ngin  to stay up to date on WVC news throughout the season. Emails regarding the club will be sent as needed to all members on SportNgin. You can also download the SportNgin App to on your phone and receive instant notifications on any updates & posts regarding your team.

Am I required to work the Rumble Tournament?

Due to the magnitude of WVC's Revolutionary Rumble Tournament, it is required that all families volunteer time throughout the weekend. This tournament is a 2 day tournament hosting 180+ Teams across 18+ sites and 32+ Courts. We need all families’ participation in setup, tear-down and selling of concessions (food and t-shirts) at your team’s assigned location(s). An average of 4-8 total working hours per family is required during the tournament. This tournament is usually held around the 3rd-4th weekend in April each year.
